Every decision made by the Board should answer one question:
How does this help students?
My priorities focus on improving student outcomes, supporting every student and family, creating safe and inclusive campuses, deepening family engagement, and increasing district accountability.

Improve Student Outcomes
Student success is the reason our schools exist. Whether a student is college-bound, career-focused, needs additional support, or is ready for advanced opportunities, every child deserves a high-quality education that helps them reach their full potential.
Success looks different for every student. Our schools should provide the instruction, opportunities, and encouragement each child needs to thrive.
My priorities include:
• Improving achievement in reading, writing, and math.
• Using data to identify needs, measure progress, and ensure programs are delivering meaningful results
• Supporting programs that keep students engaged, connected, and excited to learn.
• Expanding access to visual and performing arts, enrichment opportunities, and programs that help students discover their strengths and talents.
• Preparing students for college, careers, and life after graduation.

Create Safe & Inclusive Campuses
A safe school is not only physically secure, it is a welcoming environment where students feel connected, differences are respected, and concerns are taken seriously. Every child deserves to walk into school knowing they matter.
When students feel safe, supported, and included, they are better able to build confidence, form meaningful connections, and focus on learning.
My priorities include:
• Ensuring students of every background, identity, and ability feel welcome and valued.
• Addressing bullying, harassment, discrimination, and harmful behavior promptly and consistently.
• Supporting student mental health, social-emotional well-being, and access to trusted adults
• Encouraging early intervention when students show signs that they are struggling socially, emotionally, or behaviorally.
• Strengthening school communities where students, families, educators, and staff share responsibility for creating a safe and respectful environment.

Support Every Student & Family
Every student comes to school with different strengths, experiences, cultures, languages, and needs. Our schools should support students and families from every background, including immigrant families, multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and children who need additional academic, social, behavioral, or emotional support.
As the parent of two children with disabilities, I understand both the opportunities and the challenges families can face when navigating our schools.
No child should feel invisible or left behind because of where they come from, how they learn, or what they need to succeed. Families should be respected as valued partners and supported in navigating the services and resources available to their children.
My priorities include:
• Providing timely academic interventions and individualized support before students fall further behind.
• Ensuring evaluations, accommodations, IEPs, and Special Education services are timely, consistent, and effectively implemented.
• Supporting multilingual learners and immigrant students as valued members of our school community.
• Equipping educators and staff with the training, resources, and staffing needed to meet diverse student needs.
• Making student services and support systems easier for families to understand and navigate.

Deepen Family Engagement
Parents and caregivers know their children best, while educators and staff bring essential experience from inside our schools. When families, employees, and district leaders communicate openly and work together, students receive stronger support and our community has greater confidence in district decisions.
As a parent, I know how important it is to feel heard and included. Family engagement should be accessible, ongoing, and meaningful, but not limited to moments when a problem has already occurred or a major decision has already been made.
My priorities include:
• Improving timely and consistent communication among schools, families, employees, and district leadership.
• Creating meaningful opportunities for families and staff to provide input before important decisions are made.
• Expanding translation, interpretation, and culturally responsive outreach so all families can participate fully.
• Ensuring policies, programs, events, and district resources are clearly communicated and easy to understand.
• Building stronger partnerships with parent groups, community organizations, and local leaders to connect families with support and opportunities.

Increase District Accountability
Accountability means being transparent about how decisions are made, honoring commitments, measuring whether programs are working, and using public resources responsibly. Families, employees, and community members deserve clear information about district priorities, spending, and results.
When district leaders communicate honestly, listen to the people closest to our students, and follow through on their commitments, we build stronger relationships, stronger schools, and better outcomes.
My priorities include:
• Stabilizing the district budget through responsible decisions that protect classrooms and student services.
• Honoring agreements made with employees and supporting fair contracts, competitive healthcare, and strong working conditions.
• Investing in, developing, and retaining qualified district employees while reducing unnecessary reliance on costly outside contractors.
• Setting clear goals, measuring progress, and regularly reporting whether district programs and investments are improving student outcomes.
• Increasing transparency around budgets, contracts, staffing decisions, and major district initiatives.
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. By focusing on student outcomes, supporting every learner, strengthening partnerships with families, and leading with transparency and accountability, we can build schools where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
